Why to Update the Information?

In March 2018, HelloEOS officially announced its participation in the EOS Block Producer (BP) campaign. At that time, we released the "HelloEOS Block Producer Report" and "Introducing HelloEOS - an EOS Block Producer Candidate" to provide the basic information of our participation in the election.

During the last three months, in addition to our campaign work, we have actively involved in the practical applied work related to the EOS ecosystem with the support of HelloEOS' community and R&D strengths. We have developed from a BP candidate team to a powerful supporting force in the EOS ecosystem, moving ahead in diversified strategic directions, including the development of a community, the technology, an industrial park, a research institute and an incubator fund. With regards to human resource management, we have attracted some qualified fresh blood to join us, in order to remain a dynamic and energetic team in the competitive community. For those who has left, we are still close friends, personally and professionally.

Some information has updated: SuperONE, which we mentioned in "Introducing HelloEOS - an EOS Block Producer Candidate", has participated in the election as well. Thus, the wallet they developed cannot be regarded as a part of HelloEOS any longer, let alone their team. Even though SuperONE and HelloEOS still maintain a good relationship, given the regulations of the Code of Conduct, HelloEOS will keep absolute independence in terms of shared interests for the benefits of the broader EOS community.

That is the reason why we would like to provide the update and publicize the latest information of our team through the following reports - "HelloEOS Block Producer Report 2.0", "HelloEOS: Code of Conduct" and "HelloEOS: Ownership Disclosure & Corporate Structure".

About HelloEOS

The HelloEOS team is originated from the HelloBTS community established in 2014. BitShares (BTS) is the first blockchain project promoted by EOS founder Daniel Larimer (a.k.a. ByteMaster). HelloEOS is composed of the most powerful Graphene development forces and some of the senior community participants in China. The team has implemented in-depth research in Graphene blockchain technology, DPoS consensus algorithm and Distributed Autonomous Concept. It's noteworthy that the outcomes of the research have been put into practice. With the comprehensive capabilities in Graphene blockchain network development and maintenance, HelloEOS is one of the pioneering groups to research and advocate the idea of EOS in China. Its founder Zi Cen is still a member of the BitShares committee.

The ultimate goal set by HelloEOS is to facilitate the forces of community, technology and capital to reach a consensus on the development of the EOS ecosystem. In May 2018, HelloEOS reached a cooperation agreement with Suzhou Tongzheng Network Technology Co., Ltd., Hangzhou Albert Asset Management, Hangzhou Shuimufenghua Venture Capital, and Hangzhou Fuyun Capital to set up a company - Youzi (Hangzhou) Technology Co., Ltd. The pronunciation of "Youzi" in Chinese is quite similar to that of "EOS" in English. The establishment of the company represents the start of HelloEOS' corporatization process to stimulate standardization and professionalization, which are considered a strength to a BP candidate. In the meantime, HelloEOS set up a specific incubator fund named as HelloBIC with the amount of CNY 1 billion in the initial phase and has completed its PreA round of financing with the amount of CNY 150 million in early June. So far, HelloEOS has formed a vigorous team for the EOS ecosystem in terms of developing a community, an industrial park, a research institute, an incubator fund and the technology.

At present, HelloEOS is devoting itself to building a top EOS node and community. With the support of its own advantages and strengths, HelloEOS will facilitate the development of the EOS ecosystem following the five main areas: node maintenance, technology research and development, capacity-building for developers, professional media and HelloEOS clubs.

Timelines

On 1 June, Youzi (Hangzhou) Technology Co., Ltd. completed its PreA round of financing of CNY 150 million, invested by Hakim Unique Corporation, Jinyongxin Capital, Tianshi Capital, Kunfu Capital and Fengshoujiu Company, among many others.
On 26 May, HelloEOS, EOS Asia, EOS42, EOS New York, EOS Canada and many other BP candidates jointly declared their plan to work together and initiate THE EOS mainnet for the community.
On 19 May, in order to impart the information on the concept and technical features of EOS to the public, HelloEOS, together with PDJ Education, IMEOS and CSDN, delivered a practical EOS quick-start course. It's aimed to help the learners quickly master the entire process and architecture on how to develop a smart contract project on the EOS blockchain.
On 19 May, HelloEOS announced that it would jointly build the EOS ecosystem with IMEOS and COCOS, the latter is a global top open-source game engine as well as a tools developer. To be specific, COCOS-BCX, COCOS engine's blockchain project, and HelloEOS' Graphene-based development forces would provide necessary support related to game development and operations for the EOS mainnet codes. The two parties would also contribute to the EOS ecosystem in terms of infrastructure, open-source codes, community management and ecosystem development.
On 17 May, Youzi (Hangzhou) Technology Co., Ltd. set up its first specific incubator fund - HelloBIC - with the amount of CNY 1 billion to support DAPP developers and projects.
On 17 May, HelloEOS, together with Suzhou Tongzheng Network Technology Co., Ltd., Hangzhou Albert Asset Management, Hangzhou Shuimufenghua Venture Capital, and Hangzhou Fuyun Capital, held the signing ceremony of cooperation agreement, formally declaring their decision to establish the Youzi (Hangzhou) Technology Co., Ltd., with the aim to promote the development of the EOS ecosystem.
On 11 May, HelloEOS announced its cooperation with EOS Asia and IMEOS to jointly strengthen the developer community, by delivering courses across different levels and disseminating relevant information. The three teams tried to design a comprehensive set of multi-themed sessions for the learners.
On 10 May, HelloEOS, IMEOS, EOS Asia and Tsinghua University started their preparation for publishing a book themed on "Blockchain 3.0 - A Guide to EOS.IO Developers". With the aim to disseminate the general knowledge of EOS, the book is expected to share with the domestic crypto enthusiasts, especially developers, the EOS concept and attract their participation in the development of the EOS ecosystem.
On 30 April, the technical teams of EOS Asia, HelloEOS and IMEOS created a column named as the "EOSgeek Development" on the Knowledge Planet. The core forces of the three technical teams would answer the followers' questions and try to build a well-designed EOS developer community with all community members.
On 26 April, HelloEOS published the first Chinese version of the Code of Conduct in the community, which clarifies the team's objective and mission. Moreover, HelloEOS stated that they would regard independence as the basic principle, and keep independent from the stakeholders, the voters and all the other nodes. This means the team would not be manipulated or influenced by external factors so as to ensure the benefits of the broader EOS community.
On 13 April, HelloEOS, along with DPoS China, Graphene Shanghai and SuperONE, participated in the first EOS Global Hackathon.
On 11 April, HelloEOS successfully joined the EOSIO Dawn 3.0 testnet. Until now, it has kept producing the blocks steadily.
On 27 March, Abit joined HelloEOS with a focus on node maintenance. He is a core developer of Bitshares and Steem, and a prestigious expert in the field of Graphene toolkit as well.
On 23 May, HelloEOS officially announced its participation in the EOS BP campaign.

o BP Server: 1 livenet, 1 standby; 16 Cores; 128G RAM; 1T SSD Hard Drive.
o API Server: 16 Cores; 256G RAM; 1T SSD Hard Drive.
With the increase of node visits, we will not only extend the API nodes in parallel as well as purchase higher bandwidth, but also link up with domestic top-level data centers. At a proper time, through the DNS intelligent resolution and other programs, we will simultaneously expand the volume to the data centers.
