Hello to the whole community, we will talk about an atypical formation of the number of teeth to erupt.
Los dientes supernumerarios o hiperdoncia la podemos observar en su mayoria en el maxilar superior, siendo más frecuente en los incisivos, caninos y premolares, estas formacionres alteran el número de dientes normales que debe tener el paciente.
Supernumerary teeth or hyperdontia can be seen mostly in the upper jaw, being more frequent in the incisors, canines and premolars, these formations alter the number of normal teeth that the patient should have.
Su etiología se sugiere que es una division de la capa basal que origina en un tercer germén dental, también se estima que sea de carácter hereditario.
Its etiology is suggested to be a division of the basal layer that originates in a third dental germ; it is also estimated to be hereditary.
Los dientes supernumerarios pueden erupcionar o no erupcionar en ese caso sería un diente retenido.
Supernumerary teeth may or may not erupt in which case it would be a retained tooth.
En algunas ocasiones puede causar molestias o puede retrasar la la erupción del diente permanente y se planifica la extracción, morfológicamente es un diente mas pequeño, se podria decir que no se desarrolla.
Sometimes it can cause discomfort or it can delay the eruption of the permanent tooth and the extraction is planned, morphologically it is a smaller tooth, you could say that it does not develop.
Puede tambien estar asociado a síndromes como labio leporino, paladar endido.
It may also be associated with syndromes such as cleft lip, cleft palate.
El tratamiento es la extracción para evitar el desplazamiento de los otros dientes, el apiñamiento, la formación de placa barteriana y caries.
The treatment is extraction to avoid displacement of the other teeth, crowding, formation of barterian plaque and caries.

Composite Dentistry:
They are observed as many dental formations together.
Supplementary:
It is a tooth similar to the group from which it was formed
Conical:
The tooth takes that shape.
Complex Dentistry:
A mass of dental tissue without a defined shape.
Tuberculate:
It adopts a rounded shape.
El tratamiento es quirúrgico en todas las variaciones, en estudios recientes se ha llegado a la conclusión que todo diente o tejido óseo debe ser eliminado y enviado a realizar biopsia para descartar cualquier neoplasia o transformación en un quiste maligno.
Treatment is surgical in all variations. Recent studies have concluded that every tooth or bone tissue should be removed and sent for biopsy to rule out any neoplasia or transformation into a malignant cyst.
Estas formaciones de tejido duro pueden ser visualizados en los estudios radiológicos, y planificar bien la cirugia que debe ser realizada por el cirujano bucal, en ese caso podriamos encontralos incluidos, impactados e invertidos.
These hard tissue formations can be visualized in the radiological studies, and plan well the surgery that should be performed by the oral surgeon, in that case we could find them included, impacted and inverted.
Este tipo de malformación no presenta sintomatologia, se diagnostica por estudios de rayo X o clínicamente cuando comienza la erupción, pueden ocasionar dezplazamiento, de los dientes vecinos y apiñamiento.
This type of malformation does not present symptoms, it is diagnosed by X-ray studies or clinically when the eruption begins, it can cause displacement, of the neighboring teeth and crowding.
El post operatorio y cuidados es el mismo que no una exodoncia normal en algunos casos se toma puntos de sutura, para evitar contaminación por alimentos.
The post-operative and care is the same as a normal exodontia in some cases stitches are taken, to avoid contamination by food.
Se le indica al pacientiente:
Tratamiento antibíotico y analgésico,
Dieta líquida por 24 hora
Dieta blanda por las siguientes 36 horas
Tomar alimentos y bebidas frías
No escupir ni hacer buches
No molestarse la zona con la lengua
No tomar bebidas con pitillo
No tomar lacteos.
The patient is instructed:
Anti-biotic and analgesic treatment,
Liquid diet for 24 hours
Soft diet for the next 36 hours
Eating and drinking cold foods and >beverages
No spitting or swallowing
Do not bother the area with your tongue
No smoking or drinking of fags
No dairy.
