It's been a long time that I didn't write about my biking adventure. So, here we go... As I had told earlier my biking adventure is always with my riding partner Pooja. Who owns KTM Duke 390. And I ride KTM RC 390. It's our dream to see or travel most of the places of India by bike. And the place Dhanushkodi was on our check list too. One fine day we met and planned for our South India ride. But here i'll tell you about two special places Dhanushkodi and Kanyakumari. You might be wondering what is so special about these places. For that you must read the whole story.
KTM Duke 390 and RC 390
We both didn't inform in our house about the ride but told them we are going for three days ride. Yeah, two girls on bike for 7 days which Indian parents will allow tell me. But we had to execute this plan somehow. So we decided to lie in our place saying we are going only for three days and our other friends will be coming by car. If we get tired we will switch. And also we promised them that we will not do night ride in the unknown places.

It was one of our longest ride and obviously we had to plan the route maps and about the stays. Whenever you go for a ride it is necessary to service your bike first. And more importantly don't forget to carry First-aid-kid and all the documents of the bike and your DL.
So, the day has come finally :D
Day 1 Mangalore (Karnataka) to Sathyamangalam (Tamilnadu) 400kms (9 hours):
I stay 10kms away from Poojas house. So decided to meet at her place at 6 A.M. As per the plan we left from the her house at around 6.30 A.M. After 40kms we get one shop which is famous for it's tea called KT (kalladka tea).

We had our breakfast and our next stop was Madikeri CCD. After taking a short break there, we headed towards Mysore. We had our lunch near Nanjangudu. And it was too hot we couldn't ride after the heavy lunch.

We got one Dam called Suvarnavathy Dam. We rested there for an hour, The police guard came and to speak seeing our bikes number plate. He was very happy to know that we rode from Mangalore till there and he suggested us to leave the place early because that was the forest area and it's not safe to ride after the sunset.

As per his instructions we left from that place. Yeah it was Karnataka-Tamilnadu boarder forest area. There was a sign board saying no two wheeler are allowed between 6 P.M to 7 A.M. But when we reached the junction there it was already 5.30 P.M. The road was very nice and and we couldn't find any vehicles in that route, we were scared and we could find the the sign boards saying "do not stop, keep moving".

After covering few miles we could spot few cars on the roads. It was a really good experience inside the forest area. After crossing that forest area we got to see one beautiful scenery. We stopped there to click pictures it was already dark and pictures didn't come out that great. And the fun begins now, we could see a sign board saying "27 hairpin bend curves".

But we couldn't enjoy it much because of the narrow road and the traffic on that road. The place is called as "Dhimbam ghat". Below the ghat the place is called "Sathyamangalam". Where we had planned to stay according to the route map we planned.
Sathyamangalam is a small town where people speak only Tamil, other than Tamil they doesn't know any other languages (sarcasm). Online we searched for the stays and we couldn't find any. So, thought of asking the people out there. Finally we could find one lady we can understand Hindi and she was replying in Tamil (yeah we do understand little bit of tamil by watching good tamil movies). The room was not that great, we thought of adjusting there. Any how we wanted to get fresh and sleep.
After getting fresh we wanted to grab some food we were very hungry. So, there was one restaurant named "Hotel Chettinad". Chettinand is the cuisine of a community from the Chettinad region of Tamil Nadu state in South India.We wanted to state authentic food there but the none of the items were available. We had chicken friend rice on Banana leaf.

This how people fool you using brand names :( We were tired and we wanted to sleep early and wanted to leave early so that we could reach Dhanushkodi for "sunset" next day evening. But we couldn't get good sleep. I am allergenic to dust and I started sneezing continuously. We both couldn't sleep properly. We got sleep after few hours.
