This is what I was thinking about something that is big on the upper part. I roughly sketch the base shape with this golden brown color
I didn't like the look so I erased the bulgy part of the head and it still looks bigger. I think if I put something that will tighten it a bit will help hence the red band. At this point I started putting in details for the clothes. Initially I was thinking about those medieval clothes with big popping sleeves and long coat. The collar is actually trying to trim off some more on the head
I don't think the black hat is helping define my character so I removed it. The look is slightly coming together I am beginning to like the head and so I drew the bright eyes on.
