This is something my husband and I are working on. We've been lax parents for the last 4 years and now with baby #4 on the way, it's given us a kick in the rear to get this house in order.
The easy part is knowing what needs to be done. The hard part is figuring out effective ways of accomplishing those.
Neither one of us had parents that were intentional in their parenting. So it really feels like we're starting from scratch. We were those kids that were handed to the school system, handed to the church system, and that's all the teaching we needed.
