Psalms 3
Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me. 2. Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah. 3. But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. 4. I cried unto the Lord with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah. 5. I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the Lord sustained me. 6. I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about. 7. Arise, O Lord; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly. 8. Salvation belongeth unto the Lord: thy blessing is upon thy people.
It doesn't matter how many they are that have gathered themselves together against you. Have trust in the Lord.
You may have some people asking you where is a proof you serve a living God. Some may be questioning the potency of your Christian Faith. Don't be afraid. Only trust in the Lord with all your heart.
They may come in their multitude. Affliction and temptations may want to steal your faith and trust in the Lord. Remember our God is not scared of numbers. It takes him split seconds to turn around any situation. Your courage and believe in his power to help you is all that matters.
Remember what Elisha said when the enemies came against him in their large numbers. He is greater than he that is with us than he that is with them.
When you are faced with battles and afflictions. It is not the time to panic or be afraid. It is time for courage, sober reflection and prayers. God never forsakes his children. Call unto him and he will answer you.
The Bible did say that one shall chase a thousand. It means that you are stronger and bigger than you can ever imagine. There are strength and power inside of you bigger than you know. Trust in the Lord. See him as your helper, don't be afraid and victory will surely be yours.
