So I learned a valuable lesson this morning while trying some #pleinair #acrylicpainting. (I am new at acrylics, so it鈥檚 all an adventure!) As I painted, I found myself getting seriously discouraged at how awful my painting was going. I was about to just trash it... But I screwed tight my courage and kept working... and the finished work was better than I anticipated! THE LESSON: sometimes it looks like your only option is failure... but it鈥檚 not. Sometimes you鈥檝e just got to keep working and putting one foot in front of the other. 馃檪 You could well be pleasantly surprised by the result!

I鈥檝e also been experimenting with my setup... I improvised a brush holder from a drill bit sizing guide, and now all I have to do is figure out how to have a cup of water there as well...
