Las Brochas de Maquillaje actualmente son maravillosas, tienen muchas formas, terminaciones y espesores diferentes de acuerdo a su función, el área donde se utilizan o los productos que se aplican con ellas. Este tema me encanta, aunque les confieso que no me maquillo de forma profesional muy seguido, si las he utilizado cuando trabajaba en oficina o cuando la ocasión lo amerita. Recientemente mi hijo me regaló un Set de Brochas rosado, hermoso y con 12 diferentes; me encantó. Y se me ocurrió realizar un estuche para llevarlas en mi cartera o en un bolso de viaje, ya que en algunas ocasiones si quise llevarlas conmigo y me tuve que conformar con una bolsa plástica hermética, de esas que compramos para guardar o congelar comida.

Makeup brushes are wonderful these days. They come in so many different shapes, finishes, and thicknesses, depending on their function, the area where they're used, or the products applied with them. I love this topic, although I confess I don't wear professional makeup very often. I have used them when I worked in an office or when the occasion called for it. Recently, my son gave me a beautiful pink brush set with 12 different brushes; I loved it. And I had the idea to make a case to carry them in my purse or travel bag, since sometimes I wanted to take them with me and had to settle for a resealable plastic bag, the kind we buy to store or freeze food.

En una hoja reciclada coloqué todas las brochas para comenzar a realizar el diseño de mi estuche. Después de varias pruebas, marcar, recortar, etc. llegué al diseño que me gustó. Corté las piezas delantera con la solapa, y la parte posterior, en tela estampada de animal print. Pudo ser una sola pieza, pero no disponía de mucho material entero, así que lo hice de esa forma para adaptar el diseño a el material que disponía.

I laid out all the brushes on a recycled sheet of paper to begin designing my brush case. After several attempts—marking, cutting, and so on—I arrived at a design I liked. I cut the front piece with the flap, and the back piece, from animal print fabric. It could have been a single piece, but I didn't have much solid material, so I made it this way to adapt the design to the material I had.

Uní con costura recta las dos piezas exteriores por la parte inferior, que sería central en este caso. Con ese tamaño listo, corté una pieza en una tela estampada con color predominante rosada y algunos gatos, me encantaba esta tela y solo me quedaba un pedazo así que este proyecto fue ideal para aprovecharlo. Importante: Para facilitar la unión de la parte exterior y la interior, dejé la tela de la parte interior sin el diseño del estuche, sino que solo era una pieza rectangular, de esta manera solo debía estar pendiente de tener bien estirada la tela, y no perdía tiempo tratando de hacer coincidir las formas. Muy Importante: Dejar un espacio libre de costura, para poder voltear al derecho.

I sewed the two outer pieces together at the bottom, which would be the center in this case, using a straight stitch. With that size ready, I cut a piece from a patterned fabric with a predominantly pink color and some cats. I loved this fabric, and I only had one piece left, so this project was perfect for using it up. Important: To make joining the outer and inner pieces easier, I left the inner fabric without the case design; it was just a rectangular piece. This way, I only had to make sure the fabric was taut, and I didn't waste time trying to match the shapes. Very Important: Leave a seam allowance so you can turn it right side out.

Luego, que uní con costura recta la pieza exterior e interior, limpio el excedente de la tela interior, bien cerca del borde para no generar partes gruesas. Por el espacio que dejé libre de costura, volteo al derecho la pieza. Preparé una tira con la tela estampada del exterior, la cosí y volteé al derecho.

Next, after sewing the outer and inner pieces together with a straight stitch, I trimmed the excess inner fabric close to the edge to avoid creating bulky areas. Through the opening I left unsewn, I turned the piece right side out. I prepared a strip from the patterned outer fabric, sewed it on, and turned it right side out.

Esta tira que cosí anteriormente, será el sistema sencillo de cierre para este estuche, será simplemente introducir la solapa del estuche en ella para cerrar y sacarla de ahí para abrir. La ubiqué donde consideré estaba bien para que se cumpliera su función, al frente y en la parte inferior. Fijé con alfileres o clips de presión, y realicé una costura por todo el alrededor, garantizando que se cierre incluso el espacio por donde volteé la pieza, y la tira para el cierre.

This strip I sewed earlier will be the simple closure system for this case. You simply insert the case flap into it to close it and pull it out to open it. I positioned it where I thought it would work best, on the front and at the bottom. I secured it with pins or snap fasteners and sewed all around, ensuring that even the opening where I turned the piece inside out, and the closure strip, is sealed.

Así de rápido y sencillo fue este Estuche para Brochas, pero cumple con toda mi lista de requerimientos para este proyecto. Combina muy bien con las brochas, ya que destaca el estampado de animal print, y al abrir el estuche el color rosado genera un efecto hermoso junto a las brochas, lo amé.

This brush case was so quick and easy to make, but it meets all my requirements for this project. It goes perfectly with the brushes, highlighting the animal print, and when you open the case, the pink color creates a beautiful effect alongside the brushes. I loved it.

Todas las brochas caben perfectamente y cómodamente dentro de este estuche, me encanta como lucen todos los estampados y colores juntos.

All the brushes fit perfectly and comfortably inside this case; I love how all the prints and colors look together.

Efectivamente el estuche se abre fácil, se visualizan todas las brochas, son fáciles de sacar, se cierra fácil el estuche pero queda muy seguro, es bastante compacto de manera que se puede guardar con comodidad en el bolso junto a todas las cosas que siempre llevo, ya que quedó compacto.

The case does indeed open easily, all the brushes are visible and easy to remove, and it closes easily but remains very secure. It is quite compact so it can be conveniently stored in my bag along with all the other things I always carry, as it fits neatly.

Quedé muy satisfecha con este diseño, que primera vez que hago, y desde ya guardo mi patrón para repetirlo en cualquier momento. Otro aspecto que me gustó, fue que al elegir tela como el único material de este estuche, lo hace muy higiénico, ya que lo puedo lavar u secar fácilmente para tener siempre mi estuche y mis brochas listas para usarse.

I was very pleased with this design, which is the first time I've made one, and I've already saved the pattern to repeat it anytime. Another aspect I liked was that choosing fabric as the only material for this case makes it very hygienic, since I can easily wash and dry it to always have my case and brushes ready to use.
