The only things we truly possess are our bodies, our knowledge and our experiences. All worthless tangibles and glorified possessions are disposable and matter not after we are gone. The only true purposes in life are our contributions to humanity  and our assets, as the only purpose for our assets is to leave a legacy for our successors, whether it be our biological offspring or the children of humanity. As to humanity, our knowledge, the earth itself, and life on this planet are the only assets that are truly worth preserving.
