The most common color of diamonds is the white color, which usually appears with a yellow or sometimes a gray or brown color, the highest color called D, he is completely white, and the lowest color called Z with a clear yellow color.

  1. D, E, F - These are white stones, They are colorless, usually called "Collection." The difference between these colors is the transparency and clarity of the white color. These diamonds are the same as those of the Golconda region in India, which was the world's major supplier of diamonds from the 4th century BC to 1730. These diamonds belong to a type called Type 2A, It is indicated in a separate GIA certificate.  
  2. G , H - These stones have the slightest shade of yellow (or brown, or gray).
  3. I, J - These stones have a slight shade - medium of yellow (or brown or gray).
  4. K, L - These stones have a clear shade of yellow (or brown or gray)
  5. M , N - These stones have a strong shade of yellow (or brown or gray).
  6. N - Z - any stone that is yellower than a yellow N stone and less yellow - colored stone is called CAPE or DARK CAPE after the Cape District in South Africa, where the panic began in 1869. These colors are cheaper in the market, And traded according to supply and demand.The GIA ranks them by color range, for example: YZ or WX Range.
  7. FANCY YELLOW - Any stone that is yellower than Z is considered to have a special yellow color and its value increases accordingly.
