So I was watching the CNBC investigation news (why did I do this...I don't know. All I know is that I watched it) when they made it known that the United States secret services have shifted their focus from protecting the president, and capturing counterfeit money, and are now focused on tracking illicit bitcoins. Yes, you read it correctly, they are now focusing on bitcoins and crypto as a whole.
This means that every transaction you make is being monitored whether it's to a friend or family, it's been monitored.
And when the reporter asked the assistant director of the office of investigations DAVID SMITH, if they were breaking protocols, or unlawfully invading people's privacy. He replied that "they are not doing anything wrong and are only operating the laws and code on which the blockchain was built". Also stating that the blockchain is a public ledger that can be accessed by anybody with a little computing device or power.
But you should have seen the way he was sweating while shooting all these lies it was simply remarkable.
