Summary: Week 13 of the HivePulse SEO Contest is settled. Three writers entered, and for the first time two of them cleared the hardest version of the GEO rubric with nothing dropped. 350 HIVE is going out. Week 14 is open.
HivePulse SEO Contest week 13 results
Three writers entered. This was the first round scored on the corrected rubric that shipped in HivePulse 1.16.0, and it did something the old one never managed - it separated people on merit rather than leaving everyone level. Three valid entrants put the round in the under-10 tier, so the podium pool is 300 HIVE, plus the 50 HIVE X prize. 350 HIVE is going out.
| Place | Author | Post | SEO | GEO | Ease | Published | Prize |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | What's DayDreaming: 8 best ways to stop doing it | 100 | 100 | 60 | 20 Oct 18:13 | 150 HIVE | |
| 2 | How to Check Blood Pressure at Home: 5 (Essential) Tips | 100 | 100 | 60 | 22 Oct 05:24 | 100 HIVE | |
| 3 | How Do Devils Mislead Humans? 3 Key Hadiths [Eng/Urdu] | 100 | 96 | 60 | 20 Oct 18:09 | 50 + 50 HIVE |
The scores are re-derived from each post's on-chain content with the same HivePulse scoring engine the extension uses. All three entries were checked and cleared on the three things that usually catch people out: all are root posts, all were published inside the window, and all three carry #hivepulse in the real tag list rather than only in the body.
Two of you beat the hardest checks we have
This is the part worth stopping on. @ahmedabbaci and
@nursejoe both scored a maximum on all six informational GEO checks - and that includes the harder bands we introduced in week 12, the ones we said would push perfect scores down to about 9% of the field:
- two question headings, where one used to be enough
- three definitions, where two used to do
- five figures with a source, where three used to do
Nobody had cleared all of those in a single post before. Two of you did it in the same round, in the first week they were properly in force. That is not the rubric being soft - the measurements say perfect scores should be rare now. It is two writers who read what was asked for and wrote it.
@nursejoe, that was on your first entry back, and you tied the top score exactly. Nothing in your writing cost you first place.
And the tiebreak, one more time
@ahmedabbaci and
@nursejoe finished on the same 200/200 and the same reading ease of 60, so the published cascade fell through to earliest publication - 20 October against 22 October. Three rounds running, the tiebreak has decided the top of the board. If you are entering, reading ease 60 is worth aiming at deliberately.
Where
@nabbas0786's four points went - six words
@nabbas0786 scored GEO 96, losing four points on Concrete detail, and the margin is about as thin as this contest has produced.
That check measures how much of your writing is made of specifics - named people, places, dates and numbers - as a share of the whole post. His post ran 2,234 words and contained 28 numbers and 134 names, which is a specificity of 0.0725. Full marks start at 0.075.
He missed it by six words. Six more names or figures anywhere in that post and it is a perfect 200/200 and a different podium. Nothing was wrong with the writing; it was a long post and the specifics were spread a little thinner across it.
That is the whole lesson from this round for anyone sitting near the top: on a long post, Concrete detail is a ratio, so length works against you unless the detail scales with it.
The X engagement prize
One valid quote-retweet this round. @nabbas_0786 wins 50 HIVE unopposed, posted 27 minutes after the announcement with the link pasted properly in his entry comment.
Two of the three entrants did not enter the X prize at all. It is 50 HIVE for one quote-retweet, and this round it went uncontested.
Week 14 is open - up to 500 HIVE
The prize ladder is unchanged, and still tied to the number of valid entrants:
| Valid entrants | Prize pool | Places paid |
|---|---|---|
| Under 10 | 300 HIVE | 150 · 100 · 50 |
| 10-19 | 400 HIVE | 200 · 100 · 60 · 40 |
| 20+ | 500 HIVE | 250 · 120 · 80 · 50 |
Three valid entries this round. Seven more people and the pool moves to 400.
Week 14 runs from 27 October to 3 November 2026, 12:00 UTC.
- Install HivePulse for Chrome or Firefox.
- Write and publish a new post on any supported Hive frontend with the analyzer open.
- Publish it inside the round window - between the two dates above. A post written before the round opened cannot be entered.
- Comment below with the post link and a screenshot of the SEO and GEO panel.
- Tag the post
#hivepulse- one word, no space, in the tags and not only in the body. Check the tag list before you hit publish. - You may enter more than one post. Your highest-scoring tagged post counts.
- If someone referred you, say so in your entry comment and name them. When the entry qualifies, both people receive 25 HIVE. The referred person must be new to the contest.
The minimum qualifying score is SEO 70. Any language is welcome. Every entry is re-scored on-chain after the round closes.
If two or more entries tie, the podium goes to the post whose Reading Ease is closest to 60, then to the earlier publication time. Unchanged, and it has now decided three rounds in a row.
The 50 HIVE X prize
Quote-retweet the Week 14 announcement tweet with your own words about your HivePulse experience. The quote-retweet with the most likes, reposts, and replies combined at the close wins 50 HIVE. Your quote-retweet must target the announcement itself, not a reply or your own post. No engagement farming.
Paste the link to your quote-retweet in your entry comment - the link to the tweet, not to your Hive post.
