I actually pride myself in almost not running away from big and mean looking dogs, ALMOST.

I say almost because for one, I'm a cat lover and secondly I've only mostly gotten over one of my worst episode with a dog which happened many years ago and I'm definitely not ready to go through the same.
So I'm that guy who's not fully scared of a dog, but when I see those really big looking dogs, it's stops me dead in my tracks.

When I was younger it wasn't really an issue because most people wouldn't be surprised at a kid running away from a dog, but as I grew older it turned into a game of hide and seek.
You didn't want anyone seeing a grown man running from a dog, so I had to learn how to walk past them while feigning a bold face.
TRUST ME, IT HASN'T BEEN EASY

It gets even tricky when you visit a friend for the first time and as you're entering there's a big dog excitedly coming to jump on you.
Lol, I don't know about you guys but I'm definitely not visiting that friend again if I can help it.

How will you tell me Don't worry, it won't bite you when I've walked into your compound already.
So all the conversations we've been having prior to that visit, you couldn't have mentioned that you had a dog living in your compound.
And how do you even know it won't bite me, did you discuss it with the dog before I arrived?

I have no problems with the smaller species that I see mostly on the streets because even if I don't wanna go near them, they mostly scare easy.
A few shouts of Hey , hey and the dog will mostly run away.

I was trying to go get bread yesterday morning and because it's raining a bit and the weather is cold, most people are also trying to get bread to maybe enjoy with some hot cup of tea.

Then came this white dog with a few spots of black (the color is mostly the reason why I recognized it later on).
The dog passed me by, but it's on the other side of the street as it goes on it's way looking for food or just some fun.
I think nothing of it because it's on the other side of the street, so it's none of my business since I already dodged that bullet.

There was a bit of crowd trying to buy different things, so it took a bit of time getting my bread.
I was on my way back home when I saw a boy riding his bicycle furiously and behind him chasing with equal enthusiasm, the dog I'd seen earlier.

The boy was screaming as he rode down the street while people were laughing. What was funny though was someone people telling the boy to stop the bicycle, that thats the way the dog normally behaves and it won't bite.
I was like Are you guys for real?

Coincidentally the boy stopped the bicycle and the dog barked for a while before turning back. It seemed they were right afterall.
I immediately hurried to my house before it would get to my spot, I most definitely wouldn't allow a overexcited dog embarrass me in front of my street crush.

I'll take advice from you all later on when we've successfully decoded dog language and I can hear when a dog tells me Don't worry, I won't bite you by itself.

But for now though, I'm just a guy who doesn't want to end up as the next trending video on the internet.
So once your cutie cutie dog that doesn't bite is coming on the left side of the street, I'll gladly cross to the right side and everybody wins馃榿.
