Children are blessings in our lives but sometimes you can't help but feel that they're a little too much.

I actually give a big kudos to all mothers because the letter P in the ABC should be specifically designated for the word PATIENCE.
In fact every other word in the English language starting with the letter P should be moved to another language so there'll be enough space for the word PATIENCE to flex because it's importance cannot be overemphasized.

Now there are children and then there are CHILDREN ( those that have to be spelt in bold capital letters). Some children are quiet and hardly disturb except on few occasions when they're hungry, some others are the playful kind while the Alpha of the pack are those ones whose sole mission is to frustrate your soul out of your body.

I love and play with children a lot but for as long as I can remember, it's only to the point where I'm tired of the play and I want to back off.
Apparently there are children whose dictionaries do not contain the word I'm tired or I want to rest a bit.

I got a healthy dosage of an hour frustration over the weekend when powers beyond me suddenly decided I'd escaped their nets too many times and it was time to catch me.

My aunt had to go to work on Saturday, but her daughter's nanny wasn't available so my mum agreed to look after the baby. Unfortunately my mum also had somewhere she wanted to go drop something off and so without qualifications or knowing how to take care of a baby, I suddenly found out I had a Bachelor's degree in Babysitting as my mum conferred that prestigious title to me.

She would only be gone for an hour since she was just dropping something off and returning. Fortunately the baby was asleep before my mum left, so by my calculations I estimated that if I was unlucky I should probably have a 35 minutes period of rest and another 25 minutes to take care of the baby if she woke up

Unfortunately it seemed like all the magnetic, gravitational and every other force on Earth were conspiring against me because my niece rendered all my mathematical knowledge obsolete when she woke up just two minutes after my mum left.

The drama started almost immediately when she wanted me to play with her while keeping a smiling face throughout. Anytime I stopped smiling or decided to rest for a while she would begin to cry. I had no choice than to once again turn myself to a clown.

Thirty minutes later and I was already on the phone calling my mum to know where she was. Luckily for me she was soon back home as there was no traffic.
I must say that was the happiest I'd been to see my mum in years as I rushed to hand over the baby to her and loudly declare that I was retiring from my position as a babysitter.
A profession that I only lasted one hour.
