Big Island Love

Born in Colorado Springs, Colorado and raised in the islands of Hawaii, I have gained the benefits of knowing both sides of the coin. Opportunity awaits itself no matter where we live, however living in Hawaii once again, and being secluded on an island surrounded by water, we are limited with options as well as opportunities. I'm grateful that my parents allowed us to see for ourselves during our adolescent years, the joy and challenges in both places.

Now, as a wife and mother, I appreciate the simple things in life.......like the birds chirping outside, or the growth of a new flower in my yard amongst the bunch of weeds right beside it. My life experiences has brought me more appreciation for the "simple things" that life has to offer.

I snapped my first photo here on Steemit of the ocean and sunset view from my front yard. The closing of something passed, brings excitement of what is to come......... I hope to share my island, rich Hawaiian heritage, and culture through expression of words, photos, and video.
