On good days, I can do just about anything I want to, which usually involves pushing the boundaries a bit. Kayaking, hiking, paragliding (boundary pushing), horseback riding (also boundary pushing according to my doctors). You get the point. I do whatever feels good and lights me up.

On bad days, it’s about all I can do to walk to the kitchen, grab a snack and get back in bed. It’s lots of rest, naps and mixtures of heating pads with ice packs.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The ultimate goal: to have more good days than bad days.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I know this is true for a lot of us living with chronic illnesses or just humans in general.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My new ultimate goal, thanks to 2020: to be ok with whatever type of day comes my way.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This looks like giving my body grace, accepting life in moderation, resting when I need to rest and cutting loose when the mood or opportunity presents itself.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In a world that values the hustle, I want to place more value on rest and intentionality. Living into each day, whatever that may be. Snacks and sweats or sun and shenanigans – I wanna be where my feet are.
