Yes! The D word has become so common these days that it's being thrown left and right during conversations without really being considered as something that cannot be simply acquired just because of blockchain tech or crypto.
Decentralization is a more of state that is acquired through the participation of the people in such an ecosystem. It goes without saying that the mindset of these folks impacts on how decentralized a system becomes, particularly when a system is a fledgling one. It's great to see that Steem community (at least a meaningful number of them) has been aspiring towards this goal :-)
