I was lucky enough to get away for the weekend a few weeks back (between two lockdowns) and it's been so long since I've been to the country and I think I forgot how peaceful it is, how wonderful it is to wake up and not here neighbours or cars or people on the street but just birds.
Hell it didn't even bother me that it was about 4 degrees and there there was dew on the ground and that I could feel the cold seeping into my body through my feet.
Nope there was something about the light and the feeling and just being somewhere different that was so uplifting, so freeing.
