Later, at around 11:00 pm, BNP standing committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury was sued under the Information and Communication Technology Act of 57 (2) and Special Powers Act. Chittagong Metropolitan Chhatra League Acting General Secretary Zakaria Dastagir filed the case with Kotwali police station in the city.
Police sources said that the case was filed under the Information and Communication Technology Act (Revised 2013/57 (2)) and 15 (3) of Special Powers Act. The case details say that Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury was conspiring against the country. Using electronic devices, he gave provocative speeches to create anarchy in the nation.
