Due to mechanical error, a Haj Fleet of Biman Bangladesh Airlines goes back to the runway. This incident happened on Friday evening. Later the passengers were brought back to the terminal building.
Airport sources said, during the flight of Hajaflight (BG 5027) of Biman, it was evening 5:55 pm The 419-seat flight took the passengers on time. Then the plane returned to the runway (Boeing 777). Then the second point goes again to the runway for the flight, then comes back again.
When asked about this, a spokesman of the aircraft told the first light at 10:30 that the flight did not fly due to the error of airplane. He said, the maximum priority of the pilgrim transport aircraft So, these Hajj pilgrims are being sent to Saudi Arabia as soon as possible.
A relative of the pilgrims of the flight, Riazul Islam, told the first light at 11:00 pm, that his wife, father-in-law, mother-in-law was the flight passenger. They came to Ashkona Hajj camp at 11:30 am on Friday. After completing all formalities, they were taken at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 4pm. Then the aircraft was taken at a specific time. In the 55 minutes, their flight started for the runway. But come back without flying. In such a way, the two-point runway again came back.
Hajj director Saiful Islam told the first light at 11pm that the aircraft did not fly due to technical difficulties. Biman authorities could not complete the error despite trying for two hours. Now the airline is sending the pilgrims to another plane, the airline official said.
