There is something special about walking through a cassava field and seeing healthy green leaves reaching toward the sunlight. 🌱 For me, farming is not only about planting crops and waiting for harvest. It is about patience, consistency, observation, and learning something new every day.
These photos capture one of those simple moments in my cassava garden. I enjoy getting close to the plants, checking their growth, observing the new leaves, and making sure everything is developing as expected. Sometimes, the progress may seem slow, but when you look closely, there is always something happening.
Cassava is a crop that teaches patience. From planting the stem cuttings to establishing strong plants and eventually developing the roots beneath the soil, the farmer must continue providing care while trusting the process. 🌿
One thing I have learned from farming is that small progress is still progress. A new leaf, a stronger stem, or healthier growth may look insignificant today, but these small signs can become part of a successful harvest tomorrow.
Being in the garden also gives me a chance to appreciate the land and the work behind the food we eat. Every harvest begins with someone preparing the soil, planting, caring, monitoring, and waiting.
As I continue this farming journey, I am grateful for every lesson the garden gives me. The field reminds me that growth cannot always be rushed. Sometimes, the best thing we can do is keep showing up, keep caring, and allow nature to do its part.
