I agree with you a lot, although what I can say is that the interpretation of a picture can differ from one person to another when you aren't the one being photographed, but then you are right, and people like us have been able to scale to a reasonable point and still hope to do better, but it would have ben better if the young`ones coming do not have to experience this.
