The HTC Exodus, a blockchain phone, has added support for the Lightning Network to its list of crypto-friendly features. The Exodus, which functions as a BTC and ETH network node, will also support Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin payments, and it has cold storage capabilities. Bonus: Cryptokitties comes pre-loaded. The Exodus is scheduled to release in Q3 2018.

The PundiX point-of-sale system will integrate Verge into its platform. The POS system allows merchants to accept payments in cryptocurrency, and integration with PundiX means customers can buy and sell accepted cryptos through the mobile app and use it to pay for purchases.

Digital security solutions provider Virgil Security published a review of Telegram Passport, an app that lets users upload and store personal data documents, such as IDs, and share those with companies performing KYC checks. The review said that the security of the app “disappoints,” in particular pointing to how heavily security relies on a SHA-512 password, which could in theory be brute-forced. It also notes that digital signatures are not required, meaning that personal data could potentially be tampered with. They did, of course, note that several of their proprietary security solutions could be implemented to address these issues.

The Philippines SEC is seeking public comment on a new set of “draft rules” which would define regulations for ICO fundraising. The rules seek to adopt a “security until proven otherwise” mentality to place the burden of proving otherwise on the ICO, potentially helping to identify and prevent scams. ICO hopefuls would need to submit an application to the SEC 90 days ahead of token issuance and include an independent legal assessment of whether their token is a security or not.

A rare card from the Gods Unchained trading card game is currently listed on a live auction for just under 140 ETH - around $60,000. That puts it at the second-most valuable trading card in the world, with a MTG Black Lotus card recently sold for $87,000.
