As we predicted, McAfee’s “unhackable” wallet may have overpromised. A Twitter user claims to have gained root access to the wallet and patched firmware without interrupting the dashboard connection, opposing claims that there are security checks for this made on the wallet’s website.

Nestle will be working on an initiative to put baby food on the blockchain - rather, to improve traceability of the fruits and vegetables that make up their Gerber’s brand. They are working with IBM and Walmart to improve food recall procedures, citing the recent outbreak of listeria in romaine lettuce and the higher degree of efficiency blockchain could provide in addressing such an issue.

There is currently a $415 million unfilled long liquidation on the OKex exchange, and it needs to be settled in just a few days. Oh, and the OKex insurance fund doesn’t have enough to cover it. The possible repercussions here are that if the price of Bitcoin remains where it is today, the clawback could be as high as 50%, and that money could end up coming from the profits of OKex users. In situations like this, an exchange can issue an emergency order to mitigate the losses. So far, there’s no word from OKex and what they plan to do, and they need to decide by this Friday.

The Breeze Wallet and privacy protocol have launched on the Stratis mainnet. It’s targeted for businesses users, though it can be used by individuals. It’s a coin mixer, meaning it takes inputs from a source wallet and shuffles them before transferring to the destination. Essentially, it’s a way to make transactions on a non-anonymous chain more private.

Decentralized exchange Radar Relay announced that it has raised $10 million in Series A funding. Radar Relay stated that the funding at least in part will go towards hiring fluent speakers of various languages, thereby increasing their customer service capabilities and positioning themselves as a global business.

A subset of Kroger grocery stores will no longer accept Visa credit cards as payment, citing excessive fees, with Kroger publicly supporting the decision in an official statement. Foods, Co. says the savings will be passed onto its customers. Debit cards will still be accepted.

MIT is offering an online “short course” for a certification from their business school. The course centers on business implementations of blockchain technologies and covers topics from double-spending to AI solutions. The course runs for six weeks.
