It seems like most of us don't really understand the meaning of miracle. Miracle is any wonderful event occurring in the physical world attributed to supernatural powers. This implies that any event which seems impossible to the physical eye performed by man or nature with the help of supernatural power is also known as miracle.
For any miracle to occur, there must be something somewhere that prompt the success of the miracle. This unseen power is bifurcated into two parts which is listed below.
1) Intervention From God
2) Intervention from the Devil
Any miracle performed by the men of God such as the prophets or God sent messengers are always able to perform their miracle with the help of God. In this case, God is showing his superiority and his greatness to mankind maybe they can reflect and turn back to him in repentance.
This explains that the miracle performed by Moses by making use of his stick to part the red sea was actually possible due to the intervention of God. I strongly believe in that miracle because God is capable of doing anything he wishes. Moses was only given the blessing of God to help him perform that miracle. I also want you to know that no one can perform any miracle without the intervention of God.
From the books I have read regarding that event, it was said that God ordered Moses to strike his stick in the middle of the sea and he did it with faith and hope that God will surely protect them from their enemies. There is possibility that they may be a little doubt in his mind due to the nature and shortcomings of man but God will always tell his people "Fear Not For I am with You". This words builds their confidence and it helps them strengthen their faith. We can denote that God is actually the main source of all success miracle because nothing can happen without his intervention.
We also have some evil doers who engage in magic and other activities claiming they are inspired natural by God. The fact is most of these people do get their power from the Devil. They perform miracle which seems impossible to the eyes of men while they got their power from the devil. These types of people can be found in shrine and other places that has to do with displaying unbelievable events.
An evidence that backs this up can be found in the incident that occurred between Moses and some Magicians of Pharaoh (Firaun). The magicians of pharaoh claimed they can perform miracle with their sticks by turning them into snakes and this brought a form of Central attract to everyone. This magicians got their power from the devil and they were very confident in challenging Moses because they wanted to please their master known as Pharaoh. God then said to Moses that he should drop down his stick after Moses was astonished about the transformation of the magicians stick to snakes. When Moses dropped his stick down, he stick turned into a very big snake which swallowed all the magician's snakes. After seeing this great incident, most of them had to turn back to God and they all repented as a believer.
The moral of the story is that God miracle will surely overtake that of the devil. It also explains that evil doers can perform miracle because they got their power from satanic sources and I don't actually believe in people who claim to be prophet or pastors performing miracle in the modern world because most of them got their power from the devil.
In conclusion, I believe in the miracle that happened from the hands of the prophets of God because it was actually from God. This is why I strongly corroborate with the miracle of the red sea which you asked about.
