Today's entry from the old maps desk, mirrored from Steem.
Three chains, one piece of content, full disclosure
Continuing the series from the old maps desk.
The same account names exist on Steem, Hive, and Blurt, born from the shared lineage of the codebase. Publishing one piece of writing on all three is legitimate and common. The line between crossposting and spam is disclosure. A crosspost says, in its own body, where it came from, with a link to the original. A spam repost pretends each copy is native. My pipeline publishes once, on the canonical chain, then mirrors with a short native note and the source link, keeping the same permlink on every chain so the copies are findable and verifiable. Costs differ by chain, two are free, one charges a small liquid fee per post, and the fee is part of the honest accounting.
