A week ago I wrote a post about my new project. When I wanted to post this article, I had a lot of difficulties to actually put it online. I later learned that the reason was that Justin Sun had just taken over the steem blockchain...
Within one week, a lot of things have changed and never before I realised how true it is that "uncertainty is bad for business". The tug of war between the old witnesses and Justin Sun has this effect that nobody knows what future we will see on this blockchain. There are also some very technical aspects that make me unable to continue at the present moment with the development of my project.
At the moment with the whole uncertainity that is spread over the steem world, the only thing to do is to wait. My business idea is therefore simply on standby. I can imagine that all the people who were preparing products, services or games on the steem blockchain are in a similar situation. The longer this situation lasts, the worse it will be. My first impulse was to look for another place where I could build up my business. Probably everybody is doing that. The steem blockchain might therefore loose interesting projects, simply because of this uncertainity.
Within a week the world has changed a lot. A part from the problems on steem, I'm faced with the outbreak of corona virus in my country which lead authorities to take drastic measures to prevent it from spreading. My offline business is heavily affected by that. Then there was this mealtdown on the share markets with unprecedented losses all over the world.
I believe it is safe to say that these times are very bad for any kind of business.
