Summary of today's teachings:
In the Bible, there is only one church, in our time now, there are thousands of churches called in various ways or name. The church is the proper name of the congregation built by God through the lord Jesus Christ.
Bro Eli, made us to understand that the congregation of MCGI now, the members came from almost all churches,.
The members of the first church in the Bible were called out by God ( Galatians 1:13- 15) . In the Greek bible, Ekklesia means those called out by God. Paul was called by God from Judaism to be become an postle in the church of GOD. ( 2 Corinthians 1:1) and those that were called made up one body (Ephesians 4:4).
The Bible teaches only one body or one church into which God called his people to gather them together and for them to serve him (GOD) , It is called the church of GOD, the church of GOD Can be read in eleven verses in the Bible. They are:-
1 corinthian 1:2
1 corinthian 10:32
1 corinthian 11:22
1 corinthian 15:9
1 Timothy 3: 15
1timothy 3:5
2 Corinthians 1:1
Galatians 1:3
1 Thessalonians 2: 14
2 Thessalonians 1:4
Act 20:28.
The members of the church of GOD are not contentious ( 1corithian 11:16) . The church written in the Bible is called by His name, the name of the owner
The church which is member of the same body, The body is the church,( Ephesians 3:6) we should be member of the church. The church was intended by God to be an institution of salvation.
