Do you cull your chickens at a certain age or let them live to a ripe old age?
Last weeks question was, "What chicken feed preferences do you have? Pellets, crumbles, other…" Predominantly, those responding use pellets because there is less waste.
I thought @squishysquid had a noteworthy comment. "We ferment our feed here, so it doesn't matter much whether it is crumbled or pelleted. I dump feed, various grains, and sometimes extras like DE into their feed bucket, and cover with water. After about 24hrs, I use this to feed them. I just take it outside and throw scoopfuls on the ground for them. (They free range, so there is no feeder set up. I just put the feed where I want them to scratch up.)"
Have a great day! Every comment is up-voted to show our appreciation and thanks for your up-vote, Tim and Joann.
