We visited Koh Kood Island which is just of to the North of Thailand towards Cambodia and not only is Koh Kood Island a beautiful peaceful beach island it is also the home of a very unspoiled rain forest home to many ancient trees.
The roots are impressive as well as the sheer width of these gorgeous Bayan Trees. In this beautiful rain forest you will find Banyan trees from 200 to 500 years old they're old beautiful and impressive.
At the base of these giant Bayan trees many Thai visitors have placed 1, 2, 5, and 10 baht coins for good luck, perhaps wishing they might enjoy just a bit of the longevity of the Makka Tree.
As you might have heard me talking about that orange cloth wrapped around the tree in my previous posts about huge tree in Thailand well that is placed around the tree by the Thai Monks meaning it is a protected tree and if cut down will bring you extreme bad luck to you or even death.
Koh Kood Island is a beautiful choice for someone who loves and seeks that peacefulness and tranquility of meditating in the rain forest with them powerful spiritual holy trees but at the same time enjoying the clear crystal blue ocean waters.
