Steemit is the best growing community of super talented Steemians. They work together, help each other and make this platform the future for everybody.
Lately we are dealing with many things like Phishing, Plagiarism, Spam and Bots. Some users are aware of the situation and trying to solve these problems, while others realized the danger only when they became victims. So instead of looking for ways to get your post resteemed or commenting with your links on other users posts, you can join successful projects to get support and be an active member there. At least you have a guarantee of getting your post upvoted or resteemed.
Some of the projects that I find helpful are :
Minnow Support Project 
The Minnow Support Project is run by many nice people, who try to support Minnows and they do many things for the benefit of the community. It is a free service to help minnows develop and be more visible. You can join their Discord Channel and get one post upvoted every 48H. Make sure that you have quality content.
First go to the Registration Channel and enter the following:
$register your SteemIt username (without the @)
Soon after that you will get a message from the bots requesting you to send the 0.001 Steem and a Memo to include when you do.
Do it than come back to the Registration Channel and type in the same command. It must work!
You can join the General Channel to chat with other Steemians and the Upvote Channel with the command $upvote + Your post link.
You can also promote your post in the "postpromotion" channel.
Join their chat and they will assist, advice and help you on your journey. It is easy to make many friends and followers, help each other and grow together.
Qurator 
This is another nice project to help promote undervalued content. The registration fee is 4 SBD and you can get Upvotes for life. You can also delegate Steem Power and get more upvotes.

This morning I discovered this post related to MSP Community Curation posted by 
There are different Resteem Services, where you can send some SBD to get your post resteemed. Seriously I didnt use them and dont see any benefits in using them. They can resteem any spam post for some SBD and nobody will be interested even in opening it. Moreover 20000 followers dont mean really much here, as the most users are not active. Even if you see people on the Trending page with 1000 upvotes, you find 50% of these upvotes coming from different bots.
