I picked up this Franklin Half Dollar today. I often quote old Ben, because I tend to be a pompous Jackass and like to show off.
One of my favorite quotes of his is:

And that is sorta how I feel these days, living in a world ruled by passions. I stopped watching the "news" or even reading the latest "news" reports. It seems that everything is just spin.
Afghanistan is a problem. The utter abandoning of US Citizens is a disgrace. God help them because Washington shall not. The arming of the Taliban with a HUGE stockpile of US arms is a disaster. I think I need to keep adding to the stack, as I suspect we are witnessing the death of an Empire.
I also picked up a Walking Liberty Half dollar. She is very faded and hard to see which is how I feel about Liberty these days. Vaxxed versus Unvaxxed. Show us your papers please! Lockdowns and the wearing of masks are back on the table.
I don't really mind the masks, except for two small objections. First, I have a great smile and with a mask I can't share it with the world. I tend to be very generous with a laugh and a smile.
The second objection is, no one can ever make me believe that my bandana can stop the spreading of a virus. Until I see Faucci in a secured lab handling EBOLA wearing only a thin cloth mask and live to tell the tale, I ain't convinced.
And as to Faucci, does no one remember the early days of the AIDS? The "false positives" and the rush of a new FDA approved drug AZT, that actually ended up killing so many? History repeats itself and if you do not know it, you are bound to repeat the same mistakes.
Liberty is something We The People act as surety for one another. I wonder what old Ben might have said.

Thus far the Bulls have attempted to break the resistance in HUI at 252.43 and have failed. Yesterday's HIGH came in at 252.36 and today the HUI sold off. Not so deep of a sell off to say the battle is over but the lines are drawn. Caution is warranted for the Bulls until that 252.43 mark is breached for more than a day. If you are a trader remember that patience is a virtue and never trade without a stop loss.
