The number one rule of stacking is to get the biggest bang for the buck!
And yet I paid a high premium for this silver eagle.
Well the truth be told, at some level I am a sentimental old fool. The American Eagle coin is about to go through a make over, forever changing the design.
The good news is that the US mint is keeping the face of the American Eagle.
The iconic walking Liberty designed by Augustus Saint-Gaudens. However, in celebration of the 35th year of the American Eagle, the US Mint is changing the Reverse.
The Silver Eagle will no longer sport the winged and shielded Eagle but shall be minted with a landing Eagle.

Seeing as this new coin will be introduced this Summer, do you think that the "old Eagles" minted in a "half year" will be a good investment for numismatic value?
I also intend to buy the new Eagle design when it is available.
