Thanks for the great response. I am curious about what is happening to everyone and I trust the people of HIVE more than anyone else. In your response I learned many things.

First, the pressure to get the shot was relentless, you and my sister were in the same boat. Take the shot to stop the nagging. My sister, like your mother, got COVID even though she was fully vaccinated at the time.

How effective is this shot?

I presume your daughter who works at a hospital had to get vaccinated as a condition of employment. How is she doing?

The pressure to conform has been way over the top, much of coming from family and employers, let alone nameless bureaucrats.

It was not just the shots but masks, social distancing, remote learning, small business shuttered but the Walmart stays open. I am just trying to wrap my head around all of it.

In addition to my cousin, I have lost two friends who have died "unexpectedly". Both were younger than I am.

I know that I am entering the phase of life when friends and family begin to die but my cousin's death makes no sense at all.

What spurred this on was a recent gathering to watch football. As to the vaccine my family is divided, my son-in-law's parents were there and they began making fun of the "anti-vaxxers", I said nothing of course, no point it just took me aback. And yes one of daughters is fully vaxxed and boosted.
