What did you do today @handofzara?
I met all my financial goals for the YEAR!
I wrote about it here: @handofzara/2021-the-year-of-my-rebellion-silver-and-crypto
In short, my goals were to stack 50 ounces of silver; 25 Litecoin and enough cash on hand to cover three months of expenses.
Well with all the carnage in the crypto market today, and seeing as I only needed a few more Litecoin, I squeezed the trigger.
Alright, so I just might be Mr. Bagholder, but that is not the point. I am, and shall remain, a good old Rebel.
The currency of the Evil Empire is the Federal Reserve Note and as far as I am concerned the Litecoin in my wallet is part of a Free America!
I hear the words of Calgacus ringing in my ears: "We Are The Last of the Free!"
Alright, that might be a bit of a stretch, making a reference to a man long dead, buried in a land far away, fighting against an ancient Empire. However, every good rebellion needs to reference the order of the past to justify its actions in the present.
Ponder that for a moment.
Okay, Homer.
See, I am not actually a Rebel, I am simply trying to restore the notion of just weights and measures. Just like Jesus did when He went into the Temple and turned over the tables of the money changers with a stinging whip in his hand. So much for the lovey dovey Lamb of God! He is often the Lion of Judah!
Side bar: Whenever you hear a politician invoking our Founding Fathers or God, listen very carefully to what they are saying next, it is usually nothing more than rhetoric.
Nothing like God and George Washington to get the passions flowing!
And as old Benjamin Franklin said: "Where passion rules, she seldom rules wisely.
Thus endeth the lesson on discernment for today.
I went to the coin store today and picked up my final ounce.
Do you want to see?
Well since I have not posted in awhile I should show the coins I picked up prior to the 50th ounce on the stack.
Some nice Junk Silver!
Another, Britannia simply because I really like the new design.
Now for the very important question of the day, this very auspices day, I might add.
What did @handofzara choose for his 50th ounce?
Sometimes, especially on day like today, when it appears that defeat is at the door, it is important to take a stand.
Peace out and stack on!
If you have read this post all the way through, the first person who can tell me the modern name of the country where Calgacus lived gets a BEER token on me.
