The nursing home situation is almost completely the result of a poor policy decision that forced nursing homes to accept patients regardless of virus status. I will bet dollars to doughnuts, that most of those who died in nursing homes were MEDICAID patients. The cost for each patient can run between 10k and 25k per month! Nice way to clear out the health care costs.
