Can you believe that we are in mid November. In America, we celebrate Thanksgiving this Thursday!
Seeing that we are in mid November and Autumn shall soon slide into the dark dark dark days of Winter. I thought it might not be a bad idea for my #beersaturday post to slip to the dark side.
Speaking of the dark side, something rather strange happened while the Mrs. @handofzara and I were hiking today.
We were on a mountain enjoying the view, this view actually.
When the Mrs. @handofzara suggested that I go to the edge of the mountain to make sure it was safe. Well I went half down the trail to the overlook and could see there was a sharp drop right at the edge.
Then the Mrs.@handofzara suggested that I go a little farther out, to take a better picture.
Now the story gets a little confusing at this point.
According to the Mrs. @handofzara, there was a sudden gust of wind that lifted me up off my feet and carried me over the edge.
I, on the other hand, remember a deep voice, which sounded a little like the Mrs. @handofzara, if she were a baritone, whisper from behind and I quote:
"Welcome to the Dark Side!"
What we both can agree upon is there I was clinging for dear life and all the Mrs. @handofzara kept saying is "hold still so I can take a photo."
Really??? A photo?
"Yea, for your #beersaturday post. Everyone will want to see this!"
Fortunately, and not known to many, even the Mrs. @handofzara does not know, although she now suspects, when I was a child I was bitten by a spider. As a result of that bite, I now have super powers that enable me to scale almost vertical sides and when I really need to I can spin a web any size.
Tonight, having had a near death experience, well not really due to my Super Spidey Powers, I decided to break out one of the fancy glasses.
