As most of you are probably aware most of China is in a state of lock down due to an outbreak of a deadly virus.
If this continues for much longer a human tragedy shall unfold before our very eyes. With everyone in quarantine very few goods and services are being delivered. Unless there is a sudden and dramatic reversal in this situation the effects of the outbreak will be felt around the world.
I just finished reading an article of zerohedge entitled: "Keenly Aware"- FDA Braces For Drug And Medical Supply Shortages From China.

The upshot is that China is a major supplier of drugs, medical supplies and the raw ingredients to produce medicine.
How long before there are shortages of medicine throughout the globe?
In another article on zerohedge it is noted that a complete halt in the supply chain from Chine is within the next 60-90 days.
Even if all of China would wake up healthy tomorrow there is already a huge disruption that in the supply chain. Far more important, given the scant information coming from the CCP, we have no real idea how many people have lost their lives, and who they are. Loss of key personnel could delay any start up. The supply chain may take weeks and perhaps months to normalize.
Of course in times of trouble people run to gold.
And the US Dollar:
But rather than gold and the dollar, perhaps you should be thinking of MEDICINE.
If you or loved one takes medicine for chronic problems perhaps now is the time to stock up!
I just got off the telephone with my dear old dad and suggested that he go ahead an order all his meds for his heart.
You may want to brush off the old "prepper manual" and take stock of what you have around the house ie food and water.
In Wuhuan, no one is allowed to leave their homes, not even to go shopping for food!
