Every country have their own challenges which they are facing which includes economic challenges, political challenges , health challenges , educational challenges, the issue of poverty , and so much more.
Let's be sincere , many of the challenges were caused by bad governance , infact most of the problems would not have existed if there were good governance in place and if all the citizens too are willing to fight for their rights.
There are alot of poverty going on in many countries and the increasing rate is disturbing and very sad, alot of people cannot even feed well in those countries , they do not even have good shelter , no healthy feeding, unemployment keeps getting worse , lack of proper education and so much more.
Whenever it is election time , their politicians keeps promising them that they will stop all the problems if they vote them into power , they promise them that they will eradicate poverty from the country and that they need to vote for them because of that , they will even try to give them some penny or some incentives to encourage the poor citizens to vote for them and hoping that things will get better and their poverty will stop the moment the people get voted into the government..
The election occurs, the citizens make their voice heard and they elect them into power and then waiting for the change to occur , waiting for the government to fulfil its promise but guess what? After years nothing has changed, infact the poverty is increasing and the citizens are beginning to regret their decisions concerning voting the present government into power.
Some negative minded politicians have started to use poverty as a tool to canvass for votes and support from the masses , they believe that the poorer the people are then the more easier it will be for them to deceive with so many huge promises and make the citizens vote them into power.
We can call that " playing politics of poverty " ....
They do not want the citizens to be free from poverty because such politicians assume that the moment the citizens gets free from poverty then it might be difficult to convince them to be controlled by the power in government..
This is a sick and nonsense mentality for anyone to have but sadly this is the current reality in many parts of the society most especially in the world politics..
There are now various government and politicians who are trying to use poverty to suppress the people and make them lose their voice, they believe that they can silence the people by making sure they are in poverty and would not have choice than to listen to whatever they sell to the citizens as the government..
Let People begin to use their conscience whether as a citizen or as a government or someone in government or someone active in politics, always do what is right, stop using the bad situation of other people to play politics , stop using poverty to deceive people for your own selfish reasons..you can move your country forward and still be able to achieve your political dreams.
And also as a citizen you should also have the boldness to demand for your basic rights , stop selling your rights as a citizen , stop allowing poverty to eradicate your sense of reasoning, stop allowing the government to use poverty to silence you..
