On foot to Iran - week 2

Hi my friends! Second week of my journey to Iran is gone and I spent it partially by visiting my family and from Sunday evening I'm on route again. From Monday to Tuesday I was crossing National park Malá Fatra which was full of snow and really beautiful views took place. And I saw a wolf! First I thought it's a dog but when "dog" saw me, he started running down the hill and I said to myself "oh, it looks that it wasn't a dog" 😃 It was also bit dangerous because the snow started to melt and you really don't want that on narrow ridges 😃 But with a lot of trims and help from the poles I did it. I also slept on Hut pod Chlebom where I met awesome girls from the staff, helped them with cleaning the floor and got great breakfast from them 🙂

Wednesday and Thursday I was crossing National park Velká Fatra and it's much harder than crossing Malá Fatra. For explaining, Malá means small and Velká means big but in this case, it can be a little bit confusing because Small Fatra has higher peaks but it's smaller by it's area and conversely.

First day I must go from village Podhradie where I slept to peak Klak and next after the ridge to my final destination Hut pod Borišovom. It's about 25 km but about 2000 high metres up and 1000 down. Add 20 kilograms of my backpack, most of the road covered by melting snow, a lot of fallen trees and you can imagine all of my experience today 😃 Otherwise I must tell a view from the Klak to my lunch was great, I saw Western and part of High Tatras, Low Tatras, Small Fatra and most of Big Fatra as well. Sun was shining so I was really happy.

Second day I was going to highest peak of this mountains, Ostredok, and from near hill where I was eating lunch, there was also a great view and I spent about an hour here, just watching mountains and also a birds which were sailing in the wind. After that I went down and on some forest road with a great pleasure I changed my mountain boots for light sneakers and I swear I heard my legs that they were saying "thank you" to me 😃

I slept in a forest near Banska Bystrica and looked forward to Friday because my friend shall arrive tomorrow to spend Easter with me.

Ahoj kamarádi! Uplynul další týden mého putování a já ho strávil zčásti návštěvami rodiny a od nedělního večera jsem zase na cestě. Pondělí a úterý jsem přecházel národní park Malá Fatra, cesta byla plná sněhu, ale také nádherných výhledů. A taky jsem viděl vlka! Nejdřív jsem myslel, že je to pes, ale jak mě milý "pes" uviděl, utíkal svahem a lesem dolů a já si říkal "aha, to asi nebyl pes" 😃 Bylo to také docela nebezpečné, protože sníh začal tát a to opravdu nechcete na strmých hřebenech, ale se spoustou nadávek a pomocí hůlek se to dalo zvládnout. Noc jsem strávil na Chatě pod Chlebom, kde jsem potkal skvělé dámy z obsluhy, pomohl jim s drhnutím podlahy a vysloužil si za to skvělou snídani 🙂

Středa a čtvrtek jsem přecházel Velkou Fatru a bylo to ještě těžší, než Malá. Jen na vysvětlenou, Malá Fatra je vyšší výškou svých vrcholků, ale menší rozlohou, takže pro mě to vždycky bylo trochu matoucí 😃

První den jsem se musel z obce Podhradie vyšplhat na vrchol Klak a odtud po hřebeni na Chatu pod Borišovom, což je zhruba 25 km, 2000 výškových metrů stoupání, 1000 klesání, k tomu si přičtěte 20 kilo na zádech, většinu cesty pokrytou těžkým tajícím sněhem nebo popadanými stromy a můžete si představit, co jsem ten den absolvoval 😃 Na druhou stranu musím říct, že výhled z Klaku k obědu byl fantastický, viděl jsem Západní a část Vysokých Tater, Nízké Tatry, Malou Fatru a také většinu té Velké. K tomu svítilo slunce, takže to bylo opravdu parádní.

Další den jsem šel na nejvyšší horu Velké Fatry Ostredok. Z blízkého vrcholku, kde jsem obědval, byl také krásný výhled a strávil jsem tu asi hodinu, jen jsem pozoroval hory a taky ptáky plachtící ve větru. Poté jsem se vydal dolů a když jsem se na lesní cestě, kde už nebyl sníh, přezul z pohorek do tenisek, úplně jsem slyšel svoje nohy, jak mi děkují 😃

Spal jsem v lese kousek od Banské Bystrice a těšil se na pátek, protože na Velikonoce měla přijet kamarádka.
