Orchids, Gerbera, Jasmin and Roses are my ever time favorites! Being much fond of hobbies, all hobbies are concentrated on 3 things leisure, health and money.
Gardening is one of my favorite hobby but is mostly limited to decoration flower and plants. In an 18 cent of land I have varieties of Orchids, Jerbera, Red roses,Bud roses , Jasmin and decorative plants like 'evergreen', Sadavari etc.
There was a time which each orchid flowers costed around 15 INR. I use them mainly for setting up bouquets for marriages. Right now Dendrobium orchid(Purple white) is the one mostly used in Kerala for making bouquets and ideally current market rate is about 7-9 INR.
Of all verities one rarest collection was lady slipper Orchid. Cattleya Queen , Dove orchid, Aerangis, Vanda coerulea,Dendrobium orchid are the ones which I nurture.
Dendrobium orchid is the one easy to maintain wherein Lady slipper orchid needs special care and attention!
