We always say one thing, we don't have all kinds of benefits. We present a variety of problems. But never say that we should ensure that we have the best use of our opportunities and facilities. Yes, it is true that not all benefits are always equal, and we have to manage our lives by accepting it. Narayanganj, the nearest district of Dhaka city, where I spent my childhood. Many places in Narayanganj are still clear and green.
However, the location of Dhaka city is completely different. Because Narayanganj is not compared to Dhaka city. It is the capital of the country, where many decisions have to be taken politically. Due to which the city's clean environment or greenery cannot be protected. But as much as we have the opportunity, or the greenness, if we try sincerely, it will not be too difficult to protect.
Because the volume of parks in our city is constantly decreasing for various reasons, which is very sad and frustrating. Because it is important to have a certain size of greenery to keep a city beautiful and its environment clean. Besides, it is impossible to keep the city environment proper and beautiful.
Very close to my office, very old and traditional Ramna Park. Although it was founded long before the independence of our country. At that time it was much larger and more green and beautiful. But sadly, in truth, after independence, we have failed to retain both its beauty and its size.
History shows that it was founded during the rule of the Mughals. Because they loved green gardens. Because of this, they built this historic park with huge land. Currently it has a volume of 68.5 acres. Ramna Park is now a witness and traditional park not only in the city of Dhaka but also in the whole of Bangladesh.
So it is now the responsibility of all of us to preserve its proper preservation and heritage. Because not everything is possible for the government. Our sincere efforts, love for this green garden, the collective effort of all can sustain it.
