Today morning one 17 year Omani teenage boy came with his father (most probably). For the last several weeks he has been dribbling urine and soiling his clothes. He previously went to another hospital and did the ultrasound and urine routine microscopic test. The ultrasound report showed features of bladder infection. They didn鈥檛 bring the urine report.

Today I repeated the urine test. There were numerous pus cells and 4+ bacteria in his urine (according to the lab report). I gave him an antibiotic for 1 week and asked him to repeat the test after finishing the antibiotic.
What could be the causes of such severe urine infection in a seventeen years old teenage boy? What鈥檚 your opinion?
