Personally, I dislike them! Lived in Bangkok for over a decade and feral cats got into our ceiling space where they raised kittens and also killed but didn't eat a rat that stank the house out for a while. A tomcat also came around and noisily killed one litter of kittens plus our carport was forever used as a latrine. I like street dogs but you'll have to try harder to get me to like the cats! 😆
