We live in the future, trapped in a neurotic loop of anxiety and rumination. We are obsessed with what is missing, what was not or will not be, ignoring the "yes" that life gives us. It is part of that stubborn mania of anticipating tragedies that do not even happen and the urgency of taking action to fill supposed gaps only exhausts us and makes us sick. Why is it so hard to see the good and inhabit the present? Stopping control is vital for health. I am learning to let go, even with the years and experience it still costs me and ...You? Have you broken down for demanding more of yourself? If we were aware of how our emotionality impacts our health in terms of brain organic balance, microbiota and immune system, we will defend our peace of mind at all costs, regardless of daily circumstances. When I say daily circumstances I mean to keep growing, betting on new commitments, goals or dreams in maturity, and this, is an act of deep courage, self-knowledge and self-esteem. Being afraid and doubting our abilities, that is, experiencing the “impostor syndrome”, is part of the baggage of those of us who seek to improve ourselves on a daily basis. Let's not let the false belief that "our time has passed" or that “we are not capable” stop us. Let's focus our gratitude on everything we have achieved and that will fill us with strength and mental alertness, what can I tell you! It's about rising from the ashes! Life is a roller coaster full of good moments that make us feel on top and others not so good or difficult that are the ones that test our emotional intelligence. Be careful with cortisol... Because there are times when the trauma is so intense that we feel like all of life is on fire and the fire destroys our hope, illusion and our strength to continue living, it is when tiredness seems to win the battle and what we see around us are the ashes that contain our tears and disappointments. This is where mechanisms and abilities that we did not know we had are put in place to rise from the ashes, everyone defends themselves differently; the most important thing is to maintain a positive attitude (even if we feel tired), believe and trust in our abilities, be able to silence the noise so that we can do an adequate introspection and give a purpose to the pain, which is not an easy thing, from acceptance with respect (this is without blaming ourselves, or flagellating ourselves). Very few can predict how to respond in trauma the important thing is not to remain submerged in darkness, it is our decision not to give up to get up and shake the ashes of valuable things to rescue them from the ruins and start building a new facet of life again. In my experience, this impulse is what allows me to lift many times, it shows me blessings and treasures that I did not see before. Let's consider that, no matter how much we take care of ourselves, the body has a limited level of resistance or energy; if we exhaust it, there is nothing to be done: sooner or later it breaks down.
