Happy Sunday every body! I hope your weekend was very well!
During our trip to the city of Marrakesh, we came across many street cats! they didn't all look like stray cats, and many of them were well fed by there owners, but they just let them wonder on the streets more often then we would do in the Netherlands!
Like this cat, Nasrim, the cat of our hostel! The owner didn't want the cat to come in because of the guest! not every body likes a cat in the hostel!
In the back, you still see the wooden beams that supported the walls, that were no longer very sturdy after the earthquake! They haven't done any restorations here yet! While there were many places in the city, who were being renovated to repair the damage!
But still many kittens inbetween the rubble of colapsed buildings!
This one kitty looked very sad! I really would have taken it with me too the Netherlands! But it was laying in between a couple of shops and they were feeding it! But what a cute little kitten this is!
Chicken is every cat's favorite food! This didn't came out of a garbage bag but was given to the kitten by people around the neighborhood!
This dirty cat got a piece of chicken from a local shop!
Outside the house, laying in the sun! i really like this scenery but the shadow was just to dark in this composition!
And the last redheads that I spotted during the whole week!
This one looked a bit sad with his eye closed and a little wound on his paw!

My conclusion of the cats of Marrakesh is that the people around the city do care about there animals! But it's a big city and cat's can be bitches to each other! It's easy to get into a cat fight here! We bought some cat food on a regular base during the week! Just like many other tourists did! And we gave it to the animals that we saw in the neighborhood of the hostel that we were in! Tourist shops also sold a lot of cat food! It was good to see! So remember, If you are going to visit Marrakesh, bring some cat food :)
