Splinterlands is play2earn game on Hive blockchain and to my knowledge is one of the best game I knew. The game has it own mechanism of airdrop to reward the supporter. The airdrop of digital assets or NFT in the game is associate with the pack any players purchased before some predefined number of pack sale.
Recently the team has released the fifth and final Riftwatchers airdrop Legendary card form the Life splinter - Inevitable
I was super busy in last two months and was away form the game most of the time, that is the reason I have not even claimed the fourth airdrop cards - Immolation, which is also a legendary cards form fire splinter. The card has 4 magic attack which has the capability to take down some if the low health card in single blow itself.
Riftwatchers Mini Series
The Riftwatchers is the mini set release last year by the Splinterlands team. The set contains the 43 brand new cards, out of the 43, 13 cards are common, 12 are rare, 6 are epic and 12 legendary. The 6 epic are summoner cards from each splinter. 12 Legendary also including 5 airdrops cards and one limited edition promo card. All SPS token spent on Riftwatcher purchase will go to the SPS DAO.
I have purchased the 575 packs in total on first day of release but unfortunately not able to participate in pre sale. The sale was so quick that I missed change even for second promo card also. Each pack contains At the price of $5 per pack + 1 voucher, my total investment was $ 2875 and 575 Vouchers. At present the Voucher worth $0.032, Voucher price was low at the time of Riftwatchers pre sale also. The pack price was highest at that time as compare to previous pack sales and Investment of $2875 was also one of my biggest investment in one go in crypto world. Except the first two airdrop cards I received all the airdrops cards. Getting the airdrop is always nice because we got those cards additionally and they also get expensive overtime. Getting a gold foil from airdrop is rarest but awesome because it would be worth more then the normal foil. The Rift watcher card are playable in both modern as well as the wild format raked play. I am comfortable with the Wild Ranked play as I am holding Beta edition cards also.
The Chaos Legion packs on secondary maket has been droped a lot. The chaos legion packs are less then the 0.9 USD. Its surprising that the packs were sold by the splinterlands team @5 USD. Generally the price of the packs go up as the times passes but this is not the case with the CL Packs.
Claiming the Airdrop
As I already mentioned I have purchased 575 pack in past and all are eligible for airdrop so I was expecting at lease 2 copies of each airdrop card. As per the official announcement also 4th airdrop is assured for 275 packs purchase and 5th airdrop is assured if 300 packs purchased.
I got luck and received 3 copy of each airdrop card. Unfortunately no Gold Foil but I know they are very very rare to get.
To be honest the Immolation is my first choice among those two card because of the 4 magic attack. The Invitable has good health but 2 melee attack only make it more suitable for tank. Fire cards are not good in magic but this new cards looks promising.
The price of both the card is more then $20 at present. The price is flaunting from the day the airdrop hapoened. All Splintershards assets are low as we are going through the crypto winter. Hope the bear season will be over soon.
So in total both the cards in terms of USD comes with profit of more then 120 USD. Not at all a bad deal.
I am not able to participate in latest presale of Rebellion edition because of the busy schedule and I am more concentrated on accumulating Hive and HP. The card details has not revealed yet by the splinterlands team, but some new experiments has been introduced by the team along with new abilities. I am excited to know about the new cards and their ability. After the releof Rebellion series the Untamed series will be out from modern format ranked battle play which will be one big change in the game.
