Surreal story of a security robot that ended it all while on patrol Monday, documented by Twitter user Bilal Farooqui who took this fantastic photo. It would appear the robot had a malfunction while performing the normal rounds and inadvertently drove itself into a fountain. What a way to go!
The machine is a Knightscope K5 and it happened at a shopping complex on the Washington D.C. waterfront. Turns out you can rent one for the low, low price of $7.00/hr... just don't tell it!
