A Lightpainters dream. Abandoned for decades appreciated by us that night illuminating the most interesting features for you to enjoy here.
Again I want to thank Kerstin who organized all this for us to be able to play for two nights freely around the property. Thank you all for such a cool night and I hope there will be a rematch soon.
Heute noch in weiteres cooles Light Painting von dem verlassnen Flughafen. Eine Nacht mit Freunden unterwegs. Wenn euch das hier inspiriert schaut such mal bei
Der kleine verlassenen Flugplatz war gar nicht weit weg, nord-westlich gleich außerhalb von Berlin war es sehr einfach für mich dahin zu fahren. Heute gibts in paar Sicherungskästen für euch. Jahrzehntelang allein gelassen und nun heute von uns mit extra viel Licht gedreht und wertgeschätzt.

It looks a little bit like a cool picture disk vinyl from back in the day I remember from my DJ times. Nice and juicy the color fading.
You know by now that I fell again in love with Camera Rotation. Yes, this shot here is once again a Camera Rotation created in a single long exposure in the camera. No Photoshop effects added!
Ihr habt ja schon gemerkt in den letzten Monaten gabs viele Camera Rotations. So ist dann die Hauptaufnahme für diesen Beitrag, wieder einmal ein Light Painting mit Kamera Rotation, in einer Einzelaufnahme direkt in der Kamera fotografiert worden.
What you see is a featured Light Painting is a single 33 second exposure time photograph. The camera was always set to ISO 100 and the Lens to F8.
Was Ihr als Cover Light Painting seht ist eine einzige Aufnahme mit 33s Belichtungszeit. Die Kamera war auf ISO 100 und das Objektiv auf F8.
The Power Plant.
This military base with the airfield also had its own little powerplant. That's where I found the switch fuse boards on the wall right when I came in. Here you see it from the outside. The drone shot from Sven (see below) shows it nicely in the center too.
Das Kraftwerk
Dieser Militärstützpunkt mit dem Flugplatz hatte auch ein eigenes kleines Kraftwerk. Da habe ich gleich beim reinkommen die Elektrokasten an der Wand gefunden. Die Drohnenaufnahme von Sven (siehe unten) zeigen es auch mittig.
The spot
What you see here is literally the entrance. The black nothing thats where we came in. One step in and just to the left we found the switch boards and fuse boxes open and ripped to pieces. Fun fact: all the wires were still aluminum. So that's pre copper times when East Germany was saving faluta and had to go cheaper with making wires with aluminum cores.
Die Wahl der Lokation
Was Ihr hier seht, ist buchstäblich der Eingang. Das schwarze Nichts, da kamen wir rein. Einen Schritt hinein, und gleich links fanden wir die Schalttafeln und Sicherungskästen offen und in Stücke gerissen. Fun Fact: Alle Drähte waren noch aus Aluminium. Das ist also die Vorkupferzeit, als Ostdeutschland Faluta sparte und Kabeln mit Alu billiger waren.

Hier seht Ihr, wie der Rest des Raums aussah, wenn man sich einfach nach links dreht. Ich habe da auch eine Aufnahme gemacht, aber die gibt's später.
Just some Impressions to finish off.
The hours before we started Light Painting we had a few beers (not me of course) and snacks and a stroll "in the park". The day was nice and sunny. The sun was setting at 6:30 pm. I chose to start Light Painting by myself so I took these shots just by myself.
Noch in paar Eindrücke
Vor dem Light Painting, gabs ein paar Bier und Snacks und einen Spaziergang. Dafür war der Tag perfekt, schön sonnig und warm. Die Sonne ging 18:30 Uhr unter und etwa eine Stunde waren alle schon verteilt. Ich war in dieser Nacht ganz alleine unterwegs.
