Back to Oybin

Here are some more impressions about our last trip to Oybin Monastery. Our Light Painting enthusiasts and friends from Görlitz asked if we want to do that again. Sure we said YES! We ended up being a pretty cool group, thank you Erik, marlasinger@marlasinger, stepko@stepko, candelart@candelart, Marlene, Hans, Felix, Geane, and Ramona. Thank you to our hosts, Dirk and Uwe, once again.

We did end the night also with some ever stronger rain throughout the night but in some ways, the images got that mystic feel to it. The main Light Painting Camera Rotation features Felix standing in a gorge right next to the Monastery. Behind him, I used simply blue light to check. The other shots are Rotations of the ruin with the mist coming up the hill.

Blue Spin

The Felix Camera Rotation Light Painting is a 23 seconds-long single-exposure. The camera was set to ISO 100 and the Laowa 12mm Zero D F2.8 Lens was set to F11. The Camera started with a slide angle as you see and then spun 180°. Two steps in the same exposure.

Zwei Schritte in derselben Belichtung.

The image above gives you some impressions and shows you on the bottom right you see the very spot where the Blue Spin shot of Felix was taken.

Here you see two Camera Rotation with an each 53 and 32 seconds-long single-exposure. The camera was set to ISO 100 and the Laowa 12mm Zero D F2.8 Lens was set to F8. The Camera started again with a slide angle as you see and then spun 180°. This is two steps in the same exposure, yet the lens stayed open during the second half of the spin. This is why you see this blur only on one side of the image.

Moody Night

At night this was almost scary. If you look below you get an impression during the day.

If you look closely you see that my vantage point was from the cemetary. With that weather it was super spooky setting up the tripod on the cemetary.

Flashback!

There are so many corners to explore and so many things to photograph here.

If you think this is Spam, why did you read this far, and why the fuck bother! Move on from your self-righteous mind state and bury yourself. Don't bother about what others may find interesting. Just stay in your bubble and ...
